#Avg false positive trojan horse install
I just install this program yesterday and Before AVG move the infected file to its valut, I have trouble surfing the Internet. And then just a couple seconds ago the same Trojan (System Volume Information) came up again. Posted: Mon 8:15 pm Post subject: AVG found a Trojan horse in DBK32.SYS. Here is the exact path of the Trojan Horse Agent: C:\Program Files\Poker Office\bin\InjLib.dllĪ couple seconds later after I opted to move that trojan to the vault another Trojan Horse window came up with the path: C:\System Volume Information\_restore I moved that trojan to the vault as well. A 64kb application probably can't do much, I speculate it may be a trojan downloader, whereby it downloads the rest of itself upon execution. On a side note, keygens are illegal and highly dangerous. This didn't seem right to me, so I decided to move it to the vault. It may be a false positive (meaning it's not actually a virus, but the anti-virus thinks it is) or it may actually be malicious. We were informed to reinstall Poker Office and then allow the trojan. Support informed us that this was a 'false positive' and we have nothing to worry about. If you moved the file to the vault Poker Office would no longer work. But today for the first time I didn't even have Poker Office running and AVG picked up a Trojan that was located in my Poker Office Folder. Everyone who had AVG and some other various anti-virus programs picked up a trojan when Poker Office was opened. Usualy I would start up Poker Office and then the tojan window would come up and then I would click allow. Well allowing the trojan hadn't caused any problems so far until today. Well after doing some reading and seeing many users report that they allowed the trojan with no bad side effects, I decided that it was safe and did the same. As a work around you can of course add all your applications as exceptions cause it’s clearly a false positive. the applications is marked as Trojan horse Constructor.DER infected. Support informed us that this was a "false positive" and we have nothing to worry about. False positive: AVG Anti-virus and Thinapp. Everyone who had AVG and some other various anti-virus programs picked up a trojan when Poker Office was opened.
